The fun never ends
Hey hunny, I can get cabinets for free!
Our first summer after buying our vacation home, we spent the rest of the year updating, painting, building and getting it ready for the next summer’s Airbnb listing. Last summer, we enjoyed our little SunDaze vacation home without any major renovations, inviting guests through Airbnb and hosting our own parties with friends and family. It’s going really well!
It was a bit of a surprise when the husband said “I have a line on a full kitchen of gently used cabinets for our kitchen remodel.” Ugh …….. so I answered “You realize we’ll also have to redo the entire flooring if we remodel the kitchen.” Husband: “YEP!”
I asked if he understood that we couldn’t Airbnb while we had a remodel in process. He assured me that it would all turn out okay and so I begin designing our new kitchen.
Will it produce an increase in Airbnb income? Who knows …
Will it be easier to share the cooking and cleaning duties? Probably.
Will it make me incredibly happy? Absolutely!
I gathered some inspiration for materials and layout to help me plan for this unexpected by totally exciting new remodeling adventure.
